Mission Statement

Providing arts opportunities for all through exceptional dance education, community outreach, and inspiring performances.

Orlando Dance Conservatory

Founded in 2021, Orlando Dance Conservatory is a non-profit organization 501-(3)-c committed to inspiring students to dance by providing structured training while giving each dancer the opportunity to grow individually. ODC is also committed to bringing arts education to the community through outreach performances. ODC provides professional instruction by world-renowned dance teachers with over twenty-five years of experience in a nurturing environment—whether dancers are looking for a professional dance career or not.

Students will learn confidence, discipline, humility, hard work, respect for themselves and others, and responsibility for their community, while seeking excellence in the art of classical ballet and contemporary dance. Our classical ballet teaching methodology will be based upon Vaganova, Balanchine, and French syllabus. Our modern/contemporary teaching methodology will be based upon the techniques of Lester Horton, Martha Graham, Jose Limon, Merce Cunningham, and William Forsythe.

Conservatory Program

The Conservatory Program offers diverse training with world-class faculty and a rigorous curriculum from beginner to pre-professional levels. It is catered to dancers who want focused academic training without the commitment of being part of a team or participating in events. The curriculum applies to all styles. Each dancer must complete a placement class conducted by our artistic director, Aretuza Garner, to be accepted in the program and must take all compulsory classes for their age group. Dancers who are looking to further their training may audition for the ODC Company, which includes many performances and ballet competitions.
